Brazil international Neymar believes the next Ballon d’Or award should be handed to Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi. Naijaloaded reports.
The 23-year old would be delighted to make the top three players of the Ballon d’Or, but insists the award is already, apparently, made in heaven for Messi.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo he said:
‘Leo is favorite’
‘This year, the Ballon d’Or is reserved for Messi, the best player in the world has already been named, for everything he’s done, Leo deserves it.
‘I hope to grow playing alongside Messi. He’s the best and an idol for me. And if I learn a lot then maybe one day I can win.
‘Of course o want to be in the top three, that would be great for me.’
It’s hard to disagree with Neymar though. After helping Barcelona to the treble last season, Messi is clear favorite for the award. Anything other than Messi, Hell will freeze; Barcelona fans on Naijaloaded will cause a riot…
